The Belfast Children’s Transplant Team Shines at the British Transplant Games in Coventry, Summer 2023
In the summer of 2023, seven children from different parts of Northern Ireland, all with kidney transplants, came together as the Belfast Children’s Transplant Team to participate in the prestigious British Transplant Games held in Coventry. These young athletes showcased their resilience, determination, and spirit as they competed in various activities such as the ball throw, running races, and obstacle courses.
The Belfast Children’s Transplant Team made their mark at the British Transplant Games by bringing home numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals for their outstanding performances. Despite facing challenges and health obstacles, these remarkable children demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
